On the Run Clothing Line

Allowing me to work more on my team skills, this project was created with a group of three. For this one, we got to create a line plan for Fall/Winter 2015 for Nike. Our inspiration came from the cool blues, greys, and purples of a cool winter evening. Our target market included women with busy schedules that wanted comfort and style.

We put together a list of competitors and analyzed our products next to theirs. This gave me experience with looking at target market and competing labels.

We presented our final line to the class and included a tech pack with Bill of Materials, Points of Measure, and Construction details. We put together six looks overall and focused the tech pack on just three pieces: the yoga pants, the down jacket, and the long sleeve tee.

Presenting in front of the class was a great experience to allow us to present our idea much like we would have in a professional setting. Our final project was not as detailed as it would have been had it been a real line plan, but we still got a good feel for how something like this would have to be put together.
