The Fashionable Coffee

One of my favorite projects over the years was for my Fashion Theory course, a favorite class as well! For this class, over the ten weeks we learned about different fashion theories. I created a blog connected to a Pinterest page that explained how each of these theories related to Starbucks' retail environment.

This project gave me the opportunity to explore a side of merchandising that I hadn't thought of before: non-clothing. Fashion is about what is popular at the time. An idea can even be fashionable, so fashion theory relates to anything that comes into style. I learned how to relate the theories not only to events that occurred during the time frame of their popularity, but also to current events and trends.

Working in an environment like that of Starbucks is something that interests me as it is a different direction that most students think of in this major.
